Went to the RE-Grand Opening of Kid Robot on Melrose lastnight and picked up a Designer Interior Collection Mini Chair.... Lucky enough to get me THEE Eames Chair I always wanted... for under $10!!!!!!!!! But I know I can never afford a real one any time soon. It didn't even come with the matchin ottoman, cuz Jean got it in another box. "I'll buy it from you Jean, for retail!!! LMK". =P But at least my Silver Surfer has something to sit on at work... instead of riding his board all day.

If you are reducing your salt intake, it is worth knowing which common culinary ingredients already contain salt; for example, bacon, smoked fish, olives, cheese, mustard, tomato ketchup, soy sauce and Thai fish sauce.

One of the easiest ways to eat less salt is to cook pasta, rice and vegetables in unsalted water. Similarly, don’t season meat or fish with salt before cooking. You will gradually discover the most delicious nuances of taste in what initially seemed to be bland foods.

Traditionally, salt was sprinkled over sliced bitter vegetables, such as aubergine and cucumber, to remove some of their bitter juices. However, modern varieties are bred to be far less bitter and so no longer need to be salted.

Be aware that salt is necessary in some recipes — for example, it helps improve the volume and texture of yeast-risen bread.
